NOVEMBER \ 18 \ 2008 \ 0800-1730HRS
NOVEMBER \ 19 \ 2008 \ 1000-1300HRS NASA ATP / Arnold Engineering Workshop

This 'inaugural' Global Wind Tunnel Symposium (GWTS) invites the international Wind Tunnel community to debate future industry requirements against the backdrop of future generation air, land and sea high-speed transportation and systems.

This three day program is a strategic business-driven agenda with presentations assessing future requirements for Aerodynamics, Aero acoustics & Aero elastics testing over the next 20 years. We have invited cross-industry Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to predict their technical testing requirements for all types of wind tunnel facility:

Subsonic    Transonic    Supersonic    Hypersonic

 Currently provided by
-National Research testing facilities
-Wind tunnel facilities (Government /Military / University)
-Private & Commercial Wind Tunnel integrators and operators

For the first time, GWTS brings together wind tunnel service providers, customer groups, integrators and sub-suppliers for a unique exploratory discussion environment from across the aerospace and high performance transportation and systems design and development engineering communities, including:

 Aerospace & Defense
-Civil & Military Airframes - fixed & rotary wing
-Propulsion/Powerplant
-UAV/UCAV/ Micro UAV
-Launch Vehicle & Space Vehicle
-Landing Gear
-Airborne Defense/Missiles Systems

 High-Performance Transportation Systems
-Motorsport - Formula 1, NASCAR
-Commercial Vehicles - Buses, Coaches & Trucks
-Sports Cars, Motorcycles
